VeloCake Race Team

It's been a very successful eight days for the 'cross team.
Firstly last Sunday, Tim finished 18th in the North of England Champs in Donnie. This is really like the unofficial nationals, like the Belgium national champs is the unofficial worlds.  This was a very strong ride by Tim, especially as the field included pro's, Paul Oldham and Ian Bibby.
Former VC'er Toby Kershaw was an impressive 8th in the under 12s.

Jump to this Saturday, and Ali and Amy were both in race action at the CSP race in Clitheroe.  Such is the turn out in the North West league, CSP had put on a Women (only) race.  Another fantastic result, Ali in 3rd and Amy 6th. Toby also raced and was winner of the under 10's.
Ali, 3rd place.

So to Sunday, the final round of the South West league, and the three of us were in Plymouth.  It was a very very muddy race, some where between peanut butter and slop.
I was very glade to have put the mud tyres on.
I finished on the podium in 2nd, John was 5th and Ian kept going to a solid 14th place.

A real fight for first place

Former? Has he got a pro deal now?

Yeah, haven't you heard? The talent scouts picked him up.

Couldn't you have cut him a better deal? Assistant DS or something?
