VeloCake Cross Race

Attention please.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the VeloCake Cross has had it's date changed again.
It's now on

Sunday 18th November

The VeloCake cross race promises to be one of the best races in the South West leagues calendar.  A great new course at Redruth school will be challenging and exciting.
You don't need a cyclocross bike. Mountain bikes and hybrids are all welcome, you just need a  helmet.

We've got great prizes courtesy of Kinesis bikes, Challenge tyres / Paligap and Fat Spanner which will be given out by a numbers raffle, so anyone can win, not just the top three.
Another thing is free entry to anyone travelling over 200 miles.(proof of address needed)

Timetable

Under 12 10:30    £1.00
Youth      11:00    £7.00
S/J/V/W  12:30    £14.00

does that mean you're getting a free bike from Kenesis Mike? what a great company, GO Kenesis!!

Oh Gary, spell it right at least, or we won't get out for free ;)

If i drive up to redruth and back home 10 1/2 times does that mean i get free entry too.ian

I looked into it but the flight/train times (and cost) from Newcastle (470 miles each way) meant it was a bit impractical (esp I would have had to leave before the race had finished to get home the same day). And I would have had to borrow a bike. I had my 7 year old daughter up for the road trip as well. Hope it goes well and I will be wearing VC strip all day as moral support.

Brilliant work Mike!

I'll be propping up the results towards the bottom of the British Fell Relays that weekend. I'll take cake and think of you.

i've been up since 6 o'clock, running around like a blue arsed headless chicken. I've spent the last two hours sorting results etc for BC. I've just sat down for a cuzza and cracked open a Duvel. Give us a flipping chance :P
