Not too much to say really apart from 'chapeau' to our newest northern VCer, Olie who rode an awesome race today and beat me. I had a bad race but these things happen, just have to try not to let it happen again. The social element of the CX scene was its usual bubbly self with lots of chat before and after the race and even a mobile coffee van serving proper coffee, bonus :-)
A few days to recover before a visit to the Northwest CX race at St Helens on Saturday, hopefully it will be a better day from the race point of view.
Here's a lovely picture of the two VCers remounting after the step up :-)

We sometimes get the mobile coffee van down here as well. Can make a bad race a bit better.
where are your numbers? Yorkshire! Well done Oli. Frites wagans are better though.
Numbers on left shoulder, we dont bother with ones on the back.
your an odd bunch in yorkshire aren't you
What a great pic! Nice one Jo
UPDATE: It appears Olie didn't beat me. But still a cracking performance for his first CX race in over 12 months. Up the Cakers :-)
Yeah, but whose legs are these??
You should be ashamed ;-)
I love my hairy legs and that's the way they will be staying :-)

I've just looked at the pics on Flickr. That looks a lot better course than the two fields of soggy grass that we had to race on last Sun.
Jo has some great pics of Tim here:
