Appletree Cafe.

We all apreciate a good cafe and a nice brew.  I haven't had much in the way of new cafes to review of late, but then sort of out of the blue, one of our own has taken his love of cafes up a step and opened his own.
Nick Pearson (the one with the big ginger beard and penchant for 29er steel bikes) and family are now the proud owners of the Appletree cafe near Lands End.
They had a "soft opening" yesterday which several of the Southwestern VCers attended.

Good coffee, very nice homemade cakes and all day breakfasts. Splendid! It's like Velocake's spiritual home.

Perhaps Mike the Velocake cobble and track "Sporting"ride could make a half way stop at The Apple Tree. There is a section of smooth white road not far from the caf.

Took the PZ Wheelers' Slow group there today. Very nice. Good coffee, nice cake and lovely looking bread that I will definitely try out next time. Another good stop, hopefully open through the winter.
